Denise has supported clients across a wide range of communication needs, including individuals who begin as non-speaking communicators and progress toward functional and conversational language skills.

During her clinical work in New York, she served as a specialist in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), evaluating and implementing a variety of AAC systems for individuals with limited expressive communication abilities. She is also trained in the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and has experience supporting children on the autism spectrum in developing functional communication skills.

Her approach to therapy is holistic and client-centered, integrating language, cognition, motor planning, and social communication. A strong emphasis is placed on caregiver involvement, education, and collaboration to support carryover of skills beyond direct therapy sessions.

Denise believes that meaningful progress is supported through consistent partnership with families and caregivers throughout the therapeutic process.
